Russell Springs unveils new REACH Alert system

In an effort to release quick messages to its citizens about important information, the City of Russell Springs has implemented a new alert system called REACH Alert.

The service allows city officials to immediately share important information about waterline breaks, boil water advisories, power outages, road closures, hazmat situations, missing persons, police actions, and other civic events.

Those who live or work in Russell Springs can sign up to receive either a text message, phone call, or email. Each household can register up to 4 phone numbers and 4 email addresses.

Here’s how to sign up.

  1. Go to reachalert.com and click “sign up” in the upper right hand corner.
  2. Type Russell Springs in the Network name and click on it when it comes up.
  3. Enter your contact information to begin receiving alerts.
