The Russell Springs Fire Department is gearing up for the upcoming WHAS Crusade for Children fundraiser.
Fire crews will once again be set up at the intersection of Highways 80 and 127, collecting donations. This will take place June 3-5.
Fire Chief Bobby Johnson said this drive will hold some significance as its the first one since the passing of former Fire Chief H.M. Bottom, but the department is preparing for the weekend as it’ll be the 52nd year it has been done in Russell Springs.
