The Russell County Lakers will look to claim the 4th Region Championship for the first time since 2009 when they take on the Warren East Raiders tonight at Western Kentucky University.
First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. with radio coverage on Laker Country 104.9 beginning at around 4:45 p.m.
The Lakers defeated Barren County in the opening round and Bowling Green in the semifinals to reach the championship game, while Warren East has defeated Franklin-Simpson and Clinton County.
Warren East last appeared in the 4th Region Championship in 2011 when they won the region tournament. Russell County last appeared in 2018.
The winner will advance to the state tournament in Lexington.
