In-person absentee voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the Russell County Clerk’s Office in the old courthouse.
This will also take place Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
This pertains to people who will not be in town on Election Day or the other early voting days, has a scheduled surgery on those days, or other excuses as determined by the state board of elections.
All voters will be required to show a photo ID to cast a ballot. A valid drivers license is considered the best form of photo ID to vote.
