A Russell Springs man was indicted on a murder charge stemming from an auto collision nearly one year ago where another Russell Springs man passed away.
Victor Manuel Nunes-Cruz was indicted yesterday on charges of murder, four counts wanton endangerment first degree, and driving under the influence.
On May 17 last year, Kentucky State Police responded to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Fields Road. According to KSP, Cruz collided with two vehicles in the collision, and a passenger in Cruz’s car, 26-year-old Miguel Ramirez of Russell Springs, passed away at the University of Kentucky Hospital following the collision.
Several others were indicted by a grand jury yesterday. Those indicted included the following:
- Zachariah T. Bunch, of Russell Springs, charged with burglary first degree, criminal mischief first degree, two counts of theft by a firearm, theft by unlawful taking $1,000 or more, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, and being a persistent felony offender.
- Timothy Eads, of Russell Springs, charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Kevin C. Estes, of Jamestown, charged with possession of methamphetamine.
- Nolina Camp, of Jamestown, charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Richard Rodgers of Russell Springs and Nicholas Rogers of Columbia, charged with trafficking in hydrocodone, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a persistent felony offender.
- Brandon Morgan of Russell Springs and Jenna Haworth-Philpott of Columbia, charged with possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Jeffery Wright, of Jamestown, charged with identity theft, prescription substance not in the original container, illegal possession of a legend drug, operating on a suspended license, no registration receipt, and no registration plates.
- Joshua R. Hudson, of Russell Springs, charged with possession of hydrocodone, one headlight, careless driving, no brake lights, and failure to wear a seat belt.
- Gregory A. Collins, of Russell Springs, charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, and failure to wear a seat belt.
- Thomas West, of Monticello, charged with possession of hydrocodone, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Craig Irvin of Russell Springs and Joseph Hammond of Albany, charged with assault first degree and being a persistent felony offender first degree.
- Paul Meece, of Russell Springs, charged with possession of hydrocodone, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disregarding a stop sign.
- Jeremy R. Boutwell, of Columbia, charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Richard Rodgers and Jessica Helm, of Russell Springs, charged with trafficking in methamphetamine while in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and being persistent felony offenders.
- Timothy Adam Brown, of Albany, charged with assault third degree for hitting a detention center employee.
