One COVID-19 case reported in county last week

Just one COVID-19 case was reported in Russell County last week, according to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. The one case comes a week after Russell County reported no COVID cases.

Russell County remains in the green low community level category, according to the CDC, as officials urge testing if you have symptoms and to stay up to date with vaccines.

In the Lake Cumberland District there were two COVID-19 inpatient hospitalizations but there were no COVID patients in intensive care or on a ventilator last week.

Statewide, just over 3,257 cases were reported last week for a 3.12 percent positivity rate.
