Woman hit by vehicle in Jamestown Monday afternoon

A woman was hit by a vehicle in Jamestown Monday morning, resulting in the woman being airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital.

The incident occurred near Lily Creek Resort off KY 92. First responders were dispatched to the scene just a little after noon.

Social media posts indicate that the individual who was injured was Brenda Bunch, who is a member of Russell County Search and Rescue.

The incident is being investigated by Chief Deputy Jerry Melton of the Russell County Sheriff’s Office. He was assisted on scene by the Jamestown Fire Dept, Deputy Dustin Bunch, and Russell County EMS.
