Three Russell County Middle School students have been chosen to attend a camp for academically talented middle school students at Western Kentucky University.
Sammy Brown, Ethan Coe, and Luke Popplewell were accepted into WKU’s SCATS program, which stands for Summer Camp for Academically Talented Students.
About 200 middle school students are chosen to attend the two-week program each summer. The program offers courses in arts and humanities as well as math and sciences.
Students are nominated for the program by a teacher, counselor, or principal.
