A Russell Springs man was arrested in Columbia on Wednesday following an altercation at the Lindsey Wilson Sports Park.
Columbia Police said 27-year-old Curtis Montgomery was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, public intoxication, and another outstanding warrant.
The Columbia Police were called to the baseball field at Lindsey Wilson’s Sports Park on Russell Road Wednesday afternoon. Students and staff were on the field when Montgomery walked onto the field and began approaching players and coaching staff speaking incoherently and became verbally aggressive.
Columbia Police located Montgomery nearby and took him into custody.
Montgomery was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
