The Russell County Lakers easily defeated Casey County last night on Senior Night.
The Lakers jumped out to a 7-0 lead after one inning, added three more in the second, and finished the game in five innings by a score of 12-2.
Senior Nick Aaron got the win on the mound, pitching the complete game, giving up two runs on four hits and striking out five.
Evan Hammond drove in four runs for the Lakers, while Aaron, Aiden Antle, Issac Roy, Gavin Gossage, and Maxon Gosser each drove in one run.
The Lakers are on the road today, as they face off against the top team in the 5th Region, the Taylor County Cardinals, who enter with a record of 24-3.
