Laker JV team defeats Wayne County 3-1

The Russell County Lakers JV team picked up a 3-1 win over Wayne County last night.

Lincoln Helm pitched 3 1/3 innings, giving up just one run on three hits and striking out 5.

Camden Carpenter entered in relief, pitching 2/3 of an inning and striking out one batter.

Carpenter and Jacob Kemp drove in one run each. Trace Stringer led the team with two hits.

The JV team is now 16-3 on the season.
