Laker Football schedule released

The Russell County Lakers Football program released its schedule for the 2021 season.

The team will hold two scrimmages before opening the season on the road at Adair County on Aug. 2o.

The Lakers will follow that with a road game at Somerset before hosting Barren County on Sept. 3 in the home opener.

The Lakers will follow that with road trips to Casey County and a road district matchup with Warren East.

Three consecutive home games will follow against Warren Central, Franklin Simpson (district game), and Elizabethtown.

The Lakers go back on the road for a district matchup at Allen County-Scottsville on Oct. 22 before wrapping up the season at home facing off against LaRue County on Oct. 29.
