Adair County Jailer Joey White submitted his resignation to the Adair County Judge-Executive on Monday.
White cited concerns about funding at the jail and issues with low pay rates of jail staff, along with personal and family issues as his reasons for resignation.
White was first elected to the office of Adair County Jailer in 2014.
