There will be no youth league football this fall. Coach Ryan Richardson made the announcement last evening and shared a statement with WJRS Sports:
“It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Russell County Youth League season. This decision did not come easily as we understand the disappointment many students will experience. However, with the KHSAA regulations on sports, coupled with the late start date, we want to ensure our high school and middle school football programs are given top priority as we take every precaution to continue their seasons. We ask for your continued support with the Mighty Laker football program and appreciate your understanding for this decision.”
