Missing Colorado teen rescued in Columbia

Two Tennessee men were arrested in connection with the case.

Columbia police rescued a teenage girl who was reported missing in Colorado and arrested two Tennessee men in connection with the case on Friday.

According to a report from the Columbia Police Department, officers acted on a tip from Cumberland County Sheriff Scott Daniels and were able to locate the girl, who is 13.

The girl had allegedly been kidnapped in Colorado and the two men were from Tennessee, and were believed to be traveling back to Tennessee when they were arrested.

The men arrested were Zachariah Minix, 21, of Morristown, Tennessee, and Ethen Harville, 21, also of Morristown. Minix was charged with custodial interference and rape 1st degree. Harville was charged with unlawful imprisonment.

The Bowling Green office of the FBI was contacted and is continuing the investigation with Colorado authorities with further charges pending.
