WJRS News spoke to Superintendent Michael Ford this morning about attendance numbers in the school district. While the district wide attendance is holding steady at just over 92%, the Russell County High School has an attendance today of 86.28%. The other schools however are holding steady with Jamestown Elementary at 94.14%, Russell County Middle School at 95.02%, Russell Springs Elementary at 93.82% and Salem Elementary at 94.29%.
Due to the good attendance in all other schools, Superintendent Ford said school will go on as planned this week.
