LCDHD Receives Grant

The Lake Cumberland District Health Department has received a grant for $986,000 from the Department of Health and Human Services to Reduce Teen Pregnancy. The health department was one of just twenty-nine awardees across the nation and will be receiving $493,000 annually, for a two-year project period.

The HPP Branch will provide Reducing the Risk and Teen Outreach Program curriculum across the 10 counties and 13 school districts that make up the Lake Cumberland Area. The health department says the target population for the grant is high school students.
