In action on Saturday, the Laker golf team participated in the Butler Invitational at Quail Chase Golf Course in Louisville and placed 13th out of 21 teams. Clay Anderson shot a 79, Bentley Perkerson an 86, Dru Stapp an 89, and Chase Carpenter and Nick Blakey each with a 93. The Laker varsity and JV teams will travel to Adair County for a match on Tuesday.
The Lady Laker golf team participated in the Bowling Green Invitational at Bowling Green Country Club on Saturday. Kamryn Richardson shot a 92, Breanna Trautman a 94, McKenzie Trautman an 88, Audrey Burton a 106 and Madalyn Wright a 119.
The Lady Laker volleyball defeated LaRue County 2 games to 1 and Webster County 2 games to none at the Abraham Slam Jam in LaRue County on Saturday. Russell County also lost 2 games to Meade County and three games to Spencer County on Saturday.
Today, the Laker JV football team is on the road at John Hardin for a 5 pm kickoff and the RCMS girls’ basketball 7th and 8th grade teams are on the road at Green County. Tip-off of the first game is scheduled for 5 pm.
