U.S. 127 Relocation Project is a Candidate for State Funding

The U.S. 127 relocation project was among a group of road projects the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet listed this week that are candidates for state transportation funding, using initial results from the State Highway Investment Formula for Tomorrow.

The remaining cost for the local relocation project is just over $103 million. U.S. 127 is being relocated from east of the KY 1730 and Manntown Road intersection and extending northerly to the north bank of the Cumberland River, according to state project description.

The listed projects will receive priority consideration as the transportation cabinet develops the Recommended Highway Plan, a six-year outline for transportation spending, which will be presented to the 2020 General Assembly to guide in decision-making.
