A Jamestown man was arrested Tuesday on a theft charge.
Avis Adam Bennett, 57, was arrested by Russell County Deputy Sheriff Chad Fox and charged with theft by unlawful taking involving property valued at more than one thousand dollars.
Bennett was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
