Unemployment rates fell in 91 Kentucky counties between May 2018 and May 2019, rise in 22 and stayed the same in seven counties, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
Russell County’s unemployment rate stands at 5.2 percent, down from 5.4 percent one year ago. Adair County’s rate is 4.8 percent, Casey’s is 3.7 percent, Cumberland’s is 3.9 percent, Taylor’s is 4.1 percent, Clinton’s is 5.1 percent, Wayne’s is 5.6 percent and Pulaski County’s unemployment rate is 4.5 percent.
