The Laker Baseball team picked up a district win at home against Cumberland County last night by a score of 11-1, as two senior pitchers combined for a no-hitter against the district rival.
Lincoln Helm picked up the win on the mound, pitching 4 innings, giving up no hits and just one run, and striking out 3.
Austin Bartrug entered in relief, pitching 2 innings and striking out 5 batters while giving up no hits and no runs.
Carter Stapp led the Lakers at the plate with 3 hits and 3 runs batted in, including a solo home run in the 6th inning, his third of the season.
Adam Walters had a pair of hits and drove in 2 runs, and Mayes Gosser and Walker Stephens each finished with a pair of hits and an RBI each.
In the JV game, the Lakers came out on top by a score of 6-0.
The Lakers are off tonight before going on the road to George Rogers Clark tomorrow.
