Veldene Beckner, 82, of Russell Springs, died Thursday October 15, 2020, at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset.

She was born September 13, 1938 in Russell County to the late Stanten & Louvenia McGowan Whittle.

She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, Veldene was preceded in death by son, Timothy Beckner; granddaughter, Traci Howard; 4 sisters & 3 brothers.

Survivors-
3 daughters – Kathy (Tommy) Howard, Indiana
Donna Sibley, Louisiana
Barbara Grider, Russell Springs

1 son – James Beckner Jr., Russell Springs

9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren & 6 great-great-grandchildren

Funeral service for Veldene Beckner will be 1 PM Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Silverman officiating.

Visitation will be 11 AM – 1 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Burial in the Whittle Cemetery.

Bernard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
