Marshall Marvin Oakes, 70, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow.
He was born May 13, 1950 in Russell County to the late Junie & Lorene Crockett Oakes.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 5 siblings; Phillip Oakes, Paul Oakes, Lilburn Oakes, Darlene Crabtree, Lewell Oakes and a special friend, Golda Conover
He is survived by:

1 stepson: Earl Conover, Russell Springs
1 stepdaughter: Marilyn Smith, Russell Springs
2 brothers: Ruel (Margaret) Oakes, Russell Springs

Funeral service for Marshall Marvin Oakes will be 2 PM. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kelly Burton and Bro. Darrin Blair officiating.
Visitation 5-8 PM Friday and 8 AM. to 2 PM. on Saturday
Interment in the Freedom Cemetery.
