A well known Russell County man lost his short battle with COVID-19 yesterday, becoming the county’s fifth death as a result of the pandemic since mid March.
69 year old Dennis Wilson of Russell Springs died yesterday at a Danville hospital. Wilson had been hospitalized for several days due to complications from the virus.
Russell County reported zero new cases yesterday for the first time in a week. However, several new cases were reported in the Lake Cumberland area. There were 14 new cases in Casey County yesterday, 6 in Adair County, 5 in Pulaski and 4 new cases in Wayne County.
Currently, Russell County has 17 active cases, all of which are on home self-isolation.
