Indictments Handed Up Tuesday

Several persons were indicted yesterday by a Russell County Grand Jury.   Those indicted include:

•  Coy Marcum, age 43, charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, a Class C felony;
• Christopher Collins, age 21, charged with Bail Jumping, 1^st degree, a Class D Felony;
• Stephanie Bennett, age 32, Charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class D felony, and two misdemeanor offenses;
• Robert Grimsley, age 42, charged with Assault 4^th degree, 3^rd or greater offense, a Class D felony;
• Gary D. Badgley, age 69, charged with two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1^st degree, a Class C felony; and several misdemeanor offenses;
• Stephanie Portman, age 37, and Lucas McFarland, age 35, with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class D felony;
• Terry Ashley, three counts of Wanton Endangerment, 1^st degree, a Class D felony.

Listeners are reminded that an indictment is not evidence but means that probable cause has been established for further action and that all persons charged are presumed innocent.
