State Representative Jeff Hoover and Senator Max Wise had sent a letter to Beshear on Wednesday following the news regarding the park, urging the Governor to reconsider and look at alternatives. Beshear’s announcement yesterday was great news for local tourism and the local economy. Janette Marson, Director of the Lake Cumberland Tourism Commission in Russell County, shared her reaction when she heard the news…

Lake Cumberland State Park is undergoing some renovations, but the re-opening of lodging will certainly begin immediately according to park officials.
