Stephen L. Davis, age 78, of Russell Springs, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on Wednesday, June 16, 1948, in Jamestown, KY
He was the son of:
Mother – Clema Thomas Davis, who has preceded him in death
Father – Alvin Davis, who has preceded him in death

His wife: Cynthia Davis, of Russell Springs
One daughter: Heather Davis, of Richmond
One stepdaughter: Veronica Bruce (spouse Garry) of Louisville, KY
One stepson: Troy Downey, of Russell Springs
Two sisters: Sheila Carlton, of Russell Springs; Sharon Bunch (spouse Michael) of Russell Springs
Four grandchildren: Austin Harman, Dakota Harman, Trystan Downey and Dillon Downey.
He was a 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force, retired City of Jamestown employee and member of the Church at the Springs. He was an avid card player, loved his family and weekend get-togethers, was a huge John Wayne fan, loved watching western movies and the Andy Griffith Show. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Stewart Davis; stepson, John Lawrence; and Shirley Ann Johnson, mother to Heather and Troy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2026, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2026, at Wilson Funeral Home with burial in Bernard Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.
