A Pulaski County man is facing a trafficking charge after deputies reportedly discovered nearly a pound of suspected methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones says 41-year-old Joshua Denney of Bronston was arrested after Detective Tan Hudson observed an orange Dodge Caliber speeding on Highway 70. Following the traffic stop, Deputy Grant Bryant and Deputy Dylan West responded to assist. Deputy West deployed K-9 Rocky, who alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies searched the vehicle and found what appeared to be an ordinary box of graham crackers. Inside the box, however, they allegedly discovered nearly a pound of suspected methamphetamine packaged in a plastic bag.
Denney was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance involving two grams or more of methamphetamine, first offense, along with other offenses. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
