The Russell County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday evening at 5:00 Central Time in the Russell County Schools Auditorium and Natatorium Complex, in the room above the pool.
Among the items on the agenda, board members will receive an update on the district’s SUN Meals Summer Feeding Program, consider creating a grant-funded instructional assistant position at Salem Elementary School through the Read to Achieve Grant, and discuss the District Facilities Plan Hearing Officer’s Report.
The board is also expected to consider establishing reserved parking spaces for military veterans at district facilities, review the purchase of new benches for the First National Bank Athletic Complex, and consider declaring surplus items from Russell County High School.
Additional agenda items include financial reports, personnel matters, contracts and agreements, early kindergarten entrance requests, overnight trip approvals, and public comments.
The meeting is open to the public.
