Russell Springs Water Line Project on Track for Thanksgiving Completion

A major infrastructure improvement project continues in Russell Springs, replacing some of the city’s oldest water lines.

Cleary Construction of Tompkinsville is completing the work as part of the city’s cast iron, asbestos and concrete water line replacement project. The improvements are being funded through a grant of more than two million dollars awarded to the city.

Brandon Welch with Ken-Viron Engineers updated Mayor Eddie Thomas and members of the Russell Springs City Council during their meeting Thursday evening.

Following the meeting, Welch told WJRS NEWS the project is now more than halfway complete and discussed the areas where crews will begin replacing lines next.
