The Russell Springs Police Department responded to 556 calls for service during August.
Police Chief Bryan Shepard released the department’s monthly activity report, which shows officers conducted 169 traffic stops, issued 48 citations and investigated 17 traffic accidents.
Officers made 39 arrests during the month, including six for DUI and four on drug-related charges. The department also served 20 warrants.
The report lists 11 felony cases, 35 misdemeanors and 39 violations. Officers also assisted 28 motorists and responded to four alarms during August.
