Lakers lose another close one to Monroe County

The Laker Baseball team lost another close game to Monroe County last night, this one coming by way of a walk-off hit in the bottom of the 7th inning that gave the Falcons a 9-8 victory.

The Lakers trailed 8-3 entering the final inning, but scored 5 runs in the 7th to tie the game at 8-8. However, the Falcons were able to pick up a hit with the bases loaded in the bottom half to score the winning run.

Tanner Stringer led the Lakers with 3 hits in the game, driving in 2 runs. Mason Jasper drove in a pair of runs with 1 hit in the game. Raylan McAninch and Ben Kemp each finished with 2 hits in the game.

With the loss, the Lakers fall to 1-3 on the season. The Lakers are back in action on Thursday, going on the road to take on South Warren.
