Geneva Walters, 93, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 11th, at home.
Geneva was born in Jamestown, KY on April 15, 1932, a daughter of the late Lizzie (Warriner) and Robert Helm.
She was a longtime member of Fairview Separate Baptist Church in Jamestown. Employed by the Russell County School System for 20+ years, mainly at Union Chapel Elementary, loved the outdoors, maintaining he yard, garden and flowers. She was well known for her cooking/baking, even at church functions where her crockpot dressing and apple rolls were among the first to go.
She lived her life with decency and kindness. Faith, family and friends sustained her.

Geneva is survived by
two daughters, Cheryl Warriner (Boyd), of Paducah, KY.
Dena Goodwin (Grant), of Shepherdsville, KY.
two brothers, Roger Helm (Sharon), of Jamestown, KY, Roy Helm (Carol), of Somerset, KY.
She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Orel “Duck” Walters, son Ricky Walters, great grandson Ricky Blake Walters, and brothers, Eugene, James Montie and Marvin Helm.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM (CT) on Monday, December 15th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY.
Public Visitation will be held 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (CT) on Monday, December 15th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY.
Burial in the Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy, KY.
Family request donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Fairview Separate Baptist Church and can be made at the funeral home.
