Candidates planning to run for office next year can begin officially filing for office tomorrow.

In the May primary, offices such as Russell County Judge-Executive, Sheriff, County Clerk, Coroner, Jailer, County Attorney, PVA, Magistrates, Constables, and others will be on the ballot.

Primary election day is scheduled for May 19, 2026.
