Branscum receives third place in state art contest

Russell County Middle School student Porter Branscum received third place in the Kentucky Association of Counties “I Love My Kentucky County” art contest.

Branscum’s painting of Rockhouse Bottom in Creelsboro earned third place out of nearly 400 entries from across the state.

Branscum and the other winners will be recognized at the KACo Annual Conference and featured in the 2026 KACo Calendar.
