The Russell County School District is in the beginning stages of planning next year’s school calendar.
At last week’s board of education meeting, the board approved the creation of a calendar committee.
This committee includes representatives from multiple areas, including parents, school board members, principals, teachers, classified district employees, and two community members.
Superintendent Michael Ford told WJRS News the school district and calendar committee will soon send out surveys to receive feedback for the creation of next year’s school calendar.
The creation of the committee was approved unanimously by the school board.
