Russell County senior Mayes Gosser will continue his baseball career at Frontier Community College in Illinois.
Gosser held a signing ceremony yesterday afternoon in front of family, friends, coaches, and teammates.
Gosser said he’s thankful for all the support he’s received during his time as a Laker.
Gosser, who plays center field and pitches for the Lakers, has collected 40 hits this season with a .381 batting average. He leads the team in runs batted in with 39 to go along with a pair of home runs.
He’s also pitched 11 innings for the Lakers this season, striking out 16 batters.
