Russell County High School will have a varsity wrestling program beginning next school year.
The Russell County Board of Education approved a varsity wrestling program at the high school at this week’s school board meeting.
Superintendent Michael Ford said the youth wrestling program that started last year built a lot of momentum, resulting in the creation of a varsity program.
The board approved the varsity wrestling program by a unanimous vote.
