An Adair County woman was recently indicted after Kentucky State Police allege she solicited a minor at the juvenile detention center to murder her husband.
State Police say 27-year-old Elena K. Bardin of Adair County was a teacher through the school system assigned to the Adair Juvenile Detention Center. They say a routine search of living quarters at the facility revealed Bardin allegedly solicited a juvenile lodged at the facility to murder her husband.
Evidence also revealed that Ms. Bardin had subjected the juvenile to illegal sexual contact and provided him with sexually explicit images of herself.
Bardin was indicted last week on a charge of criminal solicitation to murder, three counts of sexual abuse first degree, distributing obscene materials to a minor, and three counts of unlawful transaction with a minor.
Bardin remains lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on a $500,000 cash bond.
