The Russell County School District and Feeding America have reached a new, two-year agreement to continue the school food pantry.
The program had been operating as a pilot program, but an agreement approved by the school board last night will allow the pantry to continue operating for at least two more years.
Ford added the pantry is open to any family with a student in Russell County Schools.
The pantry is located on the middle and high school campus.
