Pedestrian Flown to Hospital After Thursday Morning Accident

One person was taken to the hospital after running into a car Thursday morning.

According to reports, 78-year-old Nancy Ponder of Russell Springs was attempting to cross West Steve Wariner Drive in Russell Springs and ran into the side of a 2003 Ford Mustang being driven by Audrie Wolbert, age 18, of Russell Springs.

Ponder was flown to the UK Medical Center in Lexington for treatment of her injuries.
