An Adair County man entered a guilty plea in a federal drug trafficking case about a week before he was set to go to trial.
38-year-old Frederick Ennis along with his brother, 35-year-old Diontae M. Ennis, were arrested last September in Pulaski County for trafficking in methamphetamine.
At the time of arrest, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said the two men were trafficking methamphetamine in Pulaski County and other counties in southern Kentucky.
The two were set to face trial next week in U.S. District Court in London, but Frederick entered a plea deal this week.
As part of the deal, he pleaded guilty to a charge of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture containing methamphetamine. In exchange, prosecutors are dropping two other drug-related charges against him.
He will appear for sentencing in September. No information was available about the case involving Diontae Ennis.
