The Russell County Schools Nutrition and Food Service Department is introducing a new change to the summer meal program.
Families will now need to register to be able to pick up meals.
Russell County Schools Nutrition and Food Service Director Jessica Holt said registration will help those organizing the meals better prepare and meet federal guidelines.
Holt added that registration should make pickup lines operate more efficiently.
Those interested in registering can do so here.
Assistance with registration will be available at the Russell County ANC on Monday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
