The Laker Baseball team defeated Adair County at home last night by a score of 7-3.
Jack Shearer finished the night with 2 hits and a pair of runs batted in. Mayes Gosser drove in a pair of runs for the Lakers, and Ayden McGowan and Owen Loy drove in one run each.
Loy picked up the win pitching, giving up 3 runs on 10 hits over 7 innings and striking out 4.
The Lakers go on the road tomorrow to take on Barren County.
The middle school Lakers defeated the Adair County Indians 23-11 in a high-scoring affair last night.
Aaron McGowan finished with 4 hits and 3 runs batted in. Parker Brumley finished with 3 hits and 4 runs batted in. Raylan McAninch finished with 3 hits and a team-high 5 runs scored.
The middle school Lakers return to action on Friday.
