Kentucky State Police say 21-year-old Kayelyn Garrett of Livingston, Tennessee, was traveling west on KY 558 in a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. Police say Garrett entered the 127 intersection and collided with a 1999 Dodge Dakota traveling north on US 127, operated by Derek Guffey, 18, of Albany.

Garrett was transported to the Medical Center in Albany, where she was later pronounced dead by the Clinton County Coroner.

Guffey, along with a juvenile passenger in Garrett’s vehicle, were transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.

Two additional passengers in Garrett’s vehicle, 23-year-old Sierra Fulton of Monticello and a juvenile, were transported to the Medical Center at Albany for treatment of minor injuries.
