A horse owned by local businessman Terry Stephens will run in tomorrow’s Kentucky Derby.
Chunk of Gold, starting at post 19 in the derby, is owned by Terry and Pam Stephens.
The horse is trained by Ethan West, the brother of Aaron West of West Thoroughbreds.
In 4 career starts, Chunk of Gold holds one first-place finish and three second-place finishes.
Well-known local horse trainer and Stephens’ racing manager Larry Holt said Chunk of Gold has always risen to the occasion and he is hoping for a good run at tomorrow’s derby.
Post time for tomorrow’s derby is set for 5:57 p.m.
