Russell Springs Council preparing for medical cannabis

With medical cannabis now legal in the state of Kentucky, and a business planning to locate in Russell Springs being chosen in the state lottery, the Russell Springs City Council is making preparations.

Mayor Eddie Thomas said the city is using a tax structure similar to what it uses for alcoholic beverage control.

The tax is based off net profit sales, according to Thomas.
