Six Arrested on Drug and Other Charges

According to reports, Russell Springs Police Officer Matt Parrish responded to a call alleging theft of property where the homeowner had confronted one of the suspects and was holding that suspect until officers arrived at the scene.   The investigation continued to property on Old Columbia Road, just outside of Russell Springs.   

Sheriff Dererk Polston says his department responded to assist Officer Parrish.   Arrested and charged were Jack Lusk, age 32 of Russell Springs; 36-year-old Byron Marcum of Russell Springs, and 33-year-old Alex Oaks, also of Russell Springs.  

All three were charged with Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000 value and all were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.

Arrested by the Russell County Sheriff’s department were Nathan Irvin, age 28 of Russell Springs, was arrested on three outstanding warrants; Stephanie Bennett, age 32 of Jamestown, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first degree first offense; and 22-year-old Cayce Fowler was arrested on outstanding warrant.  

Those involved in the investigation and arrests include Officer Parrish of the Russell Springs Police Department, Deputy Nathan Ginn, Chief Deputy Jerry Melton and Sheriff Polston.
