Laker Soccer defeats Cville; Lady Laker Volleyball opens season at home tonight

The Russell County Laker Soccer team got back in the win column yesterday, defeating Campbellsville 1-0.

The Lakers are now 2-2 on the season, and will be back in action on Thursday, hosting Monroe County.

The Russell County Lady Laker Volleyball team will open its season at home tonight, taking on LaRue County.

This evening’s matchup between the Lady Lakers and Lady Hawks is a Kentucky 2A, Section 4 matchup and will get underway at 5:30 this evening at Russell County High School.

This will be a varsity only matchup.

LaRue County played in its season opener last night, falling 3-1 at Adair County.
